Dr. Andrea Sparzo earned her B.S. in Biology from Indiana University and went on to graduate with honors from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.
After graduating, she spent 5 years at a busy emergency and referral veterinary hospital in Indianapolis, where she gained valuable experience treating, diagnosing, and caring for a wide variety of challenging cases.
In 2008, she met her husband and, longing to be close to the mountains, moved out west. She spent another 8 years as an associate veterinarian and medical manager at a busy and demanding 24-hour clinic in the valley, gaining even further experience with diverse and challenging cases.
Dr. Sparzo’s special interests include abdominal ultrasound, internal medicine, canine behavior, and cancer treatment. Having performed abdominal ultrasounds for over 20 years, she has pursued advanced training and is one of the most experienced general practitioners in the valley. It has become an invaluable tool for the practice to be able to non-invasively investigate and diagnose conditions that would not have otherwise not have been found.
In her free time, Dr. Sparzo loves trail running, mountain biking, hiking, and traveling. She lives with her husband, her wonderful son and daughter, three spoiled dogs, and two funny house rabbits that like to run around with the dogs.
