Dr. Carmen Dobroth was raised in Cheney, Washington and always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian.
As a young girl in church, she remembers being taught that we are called to be stewards of the earth. Through that knowledge, she felt a calling to veterinary medicine with her interest in science, compassion for animals of all kinds, and awareness of their needs. She graduated from Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Since then, she has enjoyed working in general practice with a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and preventive medicine. Dr. Dobroth wants every client to become an expert on their own pet’s health. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and expertise with her patients’ owners so that they can better understand important issues like managing chronic illnesses and early disease detection.
In her free time, Dr. Dobroth enjoys getting outdoors in the garden, working on farm projects, hiking, birding, and spinning sheep wool. She loves sharing these joys with her two daughters and husband, Zach. The Dobroths live on a small farm with their Australian cattle dog, house cat, cockatiel, chickens, sheep, a goat, and four feral cats that found themselves at the right place at the right time.
