Dr. Kara Falkowski is excited to join River City Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Falkowski graduated as a DVM from Washington State University in the spring of 2003. Her first 3 years of practice were spent on the Oregon Coast at a mixed animal/emergency practice. In 2006, it was time to move back home to Idaho. Once in the Treasure Valley, she started practicing solely as a small animal practitioner.
Early in 2011, she got the opportunity to pursue another passion of hers, teaching. In 2017, all of the local technician programs closed down and Dr. Kara entered back into private practice. However, for fun, she still teaches Anatomy and Physiology for the Ag Department at CWI.
Not only does Dr. Falkowski enjoy working with patients, but she also loves the relationships she builds with clients. Her focus is in the exam room interactions: new pet, healthy pet, sick pet, internal medicine, travel concerns, end of life, hospice, etc. She desires to get to know you and your pet to help you make the best medical decisions for your individual situation.
In her time out of the clinic, Dr. Kara enjoys horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and pretty much anything that involves the outdoors and/or her family. Dr. Kara, her military husband, and two young sons live on a small farm. She has dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, and a sheep.
