Dr. Marnie Troska always felt an innate yearning to help others in whatever way she could. Coupled with her adoration of animals, her passions for science and medicine made one choice very clear: veterinary medicine was the perfect career for her! Dr. Troska is proud to serve the pets and animal owners of Meridian as an Associate Veterinarian here at River City Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Troska grew up in Salmon, Idaho with her parents and older brother. She attended Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon to earn her undergraduate degree in biology, then remained in the state to perform field research after college. Next, Dr. Troska decided to return to school to study veterinary medicine, and attended WSU to obtain her Doctorate. Dr. Troska first started here at River City Veterinary Hospital on a relief basis while working full-time at her teaching job. When the opportunity arose to join the team as an Associate Veterinarian, Dr. Troska couldn’t pass up the chance! She has special medical interests in veterinary dentistry and surgery, and particularly enjoys tending to pets’ health from their early life into the senior years. Outside of work, Dr. Troska likes competing in triathlons and long-distance races, playing volleyball and softball with her friends in the city leagues, and spending time at home with her family. She and her husband, Chad, have a daughter and a son. The family shares their lives with two loveable canine companions: Charlie is a Puggle who loves snuggling and eating; Mika the husky enjoys playing outdoors and going for long walks.
